Ukraine: five explosions heard in Kiv

Kiv. Four explosions occurred in the capital Kyiv on the eighth day of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. According to The Kyiv Independent, two loud bangs were heard in the center of Kyiv. The third and fourth explosions were heard near Kyiv’s Druzhby Narodiv metro station.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a video post on Facebook that 9,000 Russians had been killed in a week. President Zelensky said, “Together we are driving back more and more Russian troops. I wish you health.’
He said, “We are the country which destroyed the enemy’s plans in a week. Plans that have been made with hatred over the years. For our country, for our people, for all those who have two things, freedom and one heart. We stopped and defeated them.’ Our army, our border guards, our territorial defense, even ordinary farmers are fighting the Russian army every day,” the president said.
Praising the bravery of the Ukrainians for blocking the roads or standing in front of the Russian army and their vehicles, he said that while blocking the roads, people are coming in front of enemy vehicles. It is extremely dangerous, but how daring. President Zelensky said that his army was doing everything to break the enemy.
