Mohammad Hafiz will no longer be seen playing cricket for Pakistan in the green jersey. Mohammad Hafiz had retired from Test cricket in December 2018. At the same time, after the 2019 World Cup, his selection in the ODI format stopped. Mohammad Hafiz, however, continued to play cricket in T20 Internationals. Mohammad Hafiz played the last global tournament for Pakistan in the 2021 T20 World Cup.

Mohammad Hafeez, popularly known as ‘Professor’, surprised the fans by suddenly retiring from international cricket. Mohammad Hafeez has played 55 Tests, 218 ODIs and 119 T20 Internationals for Pakistan. 41-year-old Mohammad Hafeez made his ODI debut against Zimbabwe in the year 2003, while the defeat at the hands of Australia in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup 2021 proved to be his last international match. However, he will continue to play franchise cricket and will be a part of T20 leagues around the world.
