According to the report of the Health Department of Delhi, the source of infection is continuously missing in the capital, due to which there is a possibility of further spread of infection in the coming days. Not only this, once again the number of investigations of people from outside states has also started increasing in Delhi. Many people coming to Delhi from nearby cities are getting tested.
A senior official said that in the last one week, there has been a jump in daily cases of corona infection. Simultaneously, the missing cases of infection sources have also started increasing. Along with this, the investigation of those coming from outside states has also increased. He said that now 90 thousand samples are being tested in the capital in a single day, due to which the infected patients are also being identified to a large extent.
According to the data, on January 1 this year, 74622 samples were tested in the capital, out of which 9999 tests were done through antigen kits. On January 3, 5664 samples were tested with antigen in a day, but on January 5, antigen technology has been used in the investigation of 17597 samples.
Actually antigen test is not used clinically, but recently the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has changed the Kovid test and has decided that those who are getting infected in the antigen do not need to undergo RT PCR. .
Those who have symptoms but the infection is not confirmed in the antigen test report, it is mandatory for such patients to undergo RT PCR test. According to the Health Department, both RT PCR and antigen are being used to increase the Kovid test. Since the quality of RT PCR is high. Therefore, more than 60 percent samples are being tested daily in Delhi with this technique.
Now it is difficult to know the source of every patient
Departmental officials say that the way thousands of people are getting infected daily in Delhi. In such a situation, it is very difficult to find the source of infection in each patient. It is feared that the source of more than 35 percent patients is not being found in the capital every day.
If the source is not available, the graph will not come down soon
Officials of the Union Health Ministry say that it is very important to know the source of infection. If this does not happen and the missing cases increase, then the spread of infection in the community can be high and in such a situation the increasing graph of daily cases will not come down soon. If the misses increase in the national capital, then this wave may stop for a long time.
