Nana Patekar made a special identity with strong acting and dialogue delivery

Mumbai. In Bollywood, Nana Patekar is known as such an artist, who made a special identity in the hearts of the audience with strong acting and special dialogue delivery. Nana Patekar alias Vishwanath Patekar was born on 01 January 1951 in Mumbai in a middle class Marathi family. His father Dankar Patekar was a painter. Nana married JJ of Mumbai. Studied at School of Arts. During this time he used to take part in plays organized by the college. Nata Patekar was also fond of sketching and used to make sketches of them to the Mumbai Police for the identification of criminals.
Nana started his cine career with the film ‘Gaman’ released in the year 1978 but the audience did not notice him in this film. Finding his existence, Nana had to struggle for almost eight years in the film industry. After the film ‘Gaman’, he went on accepting whatever role he got. Meanwhile, he acted in several second-rate films like Vulture Bear Sheela but none of these films were successful at the box office.
Nana Patekar worked with Raj Babbar as an actor in the film ‘Aaj Ki Awaaz’ released in the year 1984. The film was completely centered on Raj Babbar, yet Nana managed to leave his acting mark by playing his character, although the film did not prove to be a hit at the box office. (talk)
