IPL During the two-day Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 auction in Bengaluru, 204 players were sold among ten franchises and Rs 5,51,70,00,000 was spent. The auction proceedings were full of young Indian cricketers, with Ishan Kishan winning the highest bid of 15.25 crores, which saw him return to MI. Meanwhile, Deepak Chahar, who returned to CSK for INR 14 crores, became the most expensive Indian fast bowler to be bought in the IPL auction. KKR broke the bank for Shreyas Iyer and bought the stylish right-handed batsman for Rs 12.25 crore. Liam Livingstone, Wanindu Hasranga, Nicholas Pooran, Shardul Thakur and Lockie Ferguson also enjoyed the auction while Avesh Khan became the most expensive uncapped player in IPL history, with INR 10 crores against his name, as new IPL entrants of LSG.
