Amidst the rapidly increasing cases of Corona across the country, the Election Commission may ban large rallies and road shows along with the announcement of election dates. The new voter list has been released just before the assembly elections. 52 lakh 80 thousand 882 new voters have been added in UP. However, the Election Commission has kept the option open that if a voter’s name has been left out in the list, then he can get his name added in the voter list before the last date of nomination.

Commission wants to announce election programs soon

Meanwhile, there was a round of meetings in the Election Commission throughout the day on Wednesday. It is clear from the activism of senior officials that there will be no more delay in the announcement of elections. Meanwhile, the Election Commission also reviewed the election preparations in Manipur. If sources are to be believed, the commission may announce the elections anytime this week. In the year 2017, the assembly elections of these five states including Uttar Pradesh were announced on January 4.

Commission not in favor of compulsory vaccination

The Election Commission is not in favor of implementing the compulsory complete vaccination for the voter. Arguing that it is related to the right to life of the voter, the commission does not want to infringe on this right. However, the rule of 100% vaccination will be applicable on election duty.
