Bhuj recorded the highest temperature during the day at 35.4 degrees, while Rajkot recorded an average maximum temperature of 35.2 degrees. This is the highest average maximum temperature recorded in December in five years in Bhuj. Elsewhere, Surat, Sasan Gir, Dadra Nagar Haveli, Porbandar where temperatures above 34 degrees were recorded. The average maximum temperature in Ahmedabad was 32.6 while the average minimum temperature was 19.5 degrees.

According to the Meteorological Department, the average maximum temperature in Ahmedabad for the next 3 days will be 34 while the average minimum temperature will be around 18. According to a private weather forecasting organization, Ahmedabad may experience an increase in cold after December 22. Elsewhere in the state, the lowest temperature was recorded in Nalia at 16 degrees, Gandhinagar at 18.5 degrees and Disa at 17 degrees.
