Then there was no fear of any poisonous snake. This scene was seen during a fair at Scindia Ghat in Samastipur. The festival of Nag Pancham was celebrated here.

In the meantime, Bhagat Ram Singh removed dozens of snakes from the temple by taking the name of Mata Vishahari. Here, holding a snake in its mouth, Bhagat performed its stunts for hours. After that, thousands of devotees started towards Sindhia Ghat of Gandak with snakes in their hands. While taking a dip in the river, Bhagat pulled out dozens of snakes by taking the mother’s name.

As often as Bhagat took a dip in the river, he came out with two or four snakes in his hand and gave them to the devotees. Dozens of snakes were pulled out by diving in this manner for an hour. After that Bhagat and the devotees returned to the temple and released the snake. Such an atmosphere was witnessed for hours at the Nag Pancham puja and fair at Scindia Ghat.

People worshiped the serpent deity

Traditional worship of Nagpancham was performed on Monday in many villages in Dalsinghasarai Anumandal area. On this day women make a line around their house with dung. Sindoor was applied by drawing a line with dung on the main door of the house and the door of the room.

Women gave each other neem leaves and curd as prasad. Nag Panchman Mela was organized in many villages of Dalsingsarai. A grand fair was organized at Vishar Temple near Malpur Vidyalaya.
