Bulldozer procession: People were stunned to see the engineer groom, the procession danced fiercely

An extraordinary wedding procession has enchanted locals throughout the Betul region. During the festivities, a groom traveled to his marriage ceremony perched atop a massive piece of earthmoving machinery. Onlookers watched in awe as the blossom-covered industrial digger carried him across town.

Although this year has featured several inventive bridal arrivals involving scooters, Royal Enfield motorcycles, farm tractors, and traditional ox carts, Betul district recorded its very first marriage rally headed by an industrial loader. Wanting his big day to stand out, the groom—a professional engineer—opted to arrive on heavy construction machinery, an idea his family eagerly endorsed. Sitting elevated on the excavator, he led the joyful parade toward his bride's residence, leaving the surrounding neighborhood captivated by the unprecedented display.

Groom arrives on earthmover, leaves with bride in an auto

Hailing from Kerpani village in Betul district, the groom, Ankur Jaiswal, had long envisioned a non-traditional wedding parade before ultimately settling on a heavy-duty excavator. On June 22, he journeyed atop the machinery to Padhar village to wed his bride, Swati. Ankur, who serves as a civil engineer in Kurawar within Bhopal district, brought his sisters along with his nephew-in-law to share the lofty vantage point on the giant loader.

Lively celebrations during the journey

Setting off from Kerpani village on Tuesday dusk, the festive party advanced to the sound of energetic music. The groom remained seated high on the heavy equipment alongside a few intimate family members. Ornate floral arrangements adorned the yellow machinery, echoing the traditional decorations usually reserved for a wedding automobile. Throughout the trip, the groom happily danced to mark the event alongside his enthusiastic companions.

A traditional vehicle for the journey back

While similar bulldozer-led wedding rallies had previously occurred in Uttar Pradesh before reaching Madhya Pradesh, online footage of Ankur's distinctive Betul parade swiftly gained massive popularity on social platforms. Internet users reacted to the viral videos with a diverse range of remarks. Ultimately, after the wedding rituals were completed, the groom brought his new wife back home using a conventional motor vehicle.
