The countdown for the counting of votes for the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections has begun. Counting of votes will start from 8 am on Thursday. This time out of the five assembly seats in Mathura district, the results of the Govardhan assembly will come first. Maximum time will be taken for counting of votes of Mathura Vidhan Sabha.
The process of Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, which began on February 10, has ended on March 7. Counting of votes will now take place on March 10. Mathura seat will be counted in 35 rounds
The counting of their EVMs will be completed in 28 rounds. Arrangements have been made for counting of votes from 14 EVMs on 14 tables in each round. After this, counting of votes will be completed in 29 rounds of Umbrella Vidhan Sabha, 32 rounds of Mont Vidhan Sabha, 33 rounds of Baldev Vidhan Sabha and 35 rounds of Mathura Vidhan Sabha.
For this 20 tables have been installed. 14 are earmarked for EVMs, four for postal ballots, one RO and one assistant. Apart from these 30 tables will be extra for scanning service votes. In this, two tables will be installed in Mathura, four in Baldev, seven in Govardhan, eight in Mant and five in Umbrella.
Counting of votes will start from 8 am
Electoral Officer-in-Charge Sweta told that the counting of votes will start from 8 am on March 10. In this, postal ballots will be counted first. After this the EVM counting will start. He said that the sequence of arrival of service and postal ballots is still going on. Till Monday 7484 votes have been received. All such votes received before the commencement of the counting of votes shall be taken into account.
Matching of slips will be done after counting of votes
The tallying of EVMs and their VPPET machine slips will be done through a draw after the counting of votes from the assembly wise EVMs is completed. This tally will be of five EVM machines and VPPET machines in each assembly.
