The company has also revealed its trim details and technical specifications ahead of the launch of the Kia Cars. The bookings for Kia Cars will start from January 14, 2022. Kia Carens gets 10.25 inch HD touchscreen navigation with next generation Kia Connect, Bose premium sound system with 8-speaker, smart pure air purifier for virus and bacteria protection, ventilated front seat, second row seat one touch easy electric tumble With and many first-in-class features like Skylight sunroof will be available. Apart from this, customers will get 66 connected features along with navigation, remote control, vehicle management, safety and security in Kia Connect. These features include Final Destination Guidance, Server Based Routing Guidance, Remote Seat Ventilation Control, Pro-Active Vehicle Status Alert, etc. In addition to over the air map updates, Kia Carnes customers will also get the facility of over the air (OTA) system updates, so that customers do not have to visit service centers frequently for software upgrades.

Engine Specifications

The Kia Carens will be available with three powertrain options – Smartstream 1.5 Petrol, Smartstream 1.4 T-GDi Petrol and 1.5 CRDi VGT Diesel. Apart from this, customers will also get the option to choose from three transmission options – 6-speed manual transmission, 7-speed DCT and 6-speed AT. The 7-seater option will be offered in the premium to luxury trims of the Carens, while the Luxury Plus trim will be available with both 6 and 7 seater options.

● Carens’ Smartstream G 1.5 naturally aspirated petrol engine will produce 115 PS of power at 6300 rpm and 144 Nm of torque at 4500 rpm.

● The Smartstream 1.4 T-GDi petrol engine will produce 140 PS of power at 6000 rpm and 242 Nm of torque at 1500-3200 rpm.

● While the 1.5 CRDi VGT diesel engine will produce 115 PS of power at 4000 rpm and 250 Nm of torque at 1500-2750 rpm.

Dimensions and colors

The Kia Carnes comes with the longest wheelbase in its segment, along with giving it a tough competition to the existing vehicles from its segment. The Kia Carnes gets a wheelbase of 2780 mm, which gives a comfortable drive experience even to the third row passenger. The Kia Carnes measures 4540 mm in length, 1800 mm in height and 2780 mm in width.

The Carens will be available to customers in 8 colours, with three new colors being added to the Kia lineup. These will be available in Imperial Blue (new colour), Moss Brown (new colour), Sparkling Silver (new colour), Intense Red, Aurora Black Pearl, Gravity Grey, Glacier White Pearl and Clear White.
