Wayanad Landslides: Death toll in Wayanad reaches 308, four people found alive in army rescue operation
Wayanad Landslides केरल में भारी बारिश के बाद लोग परेशानियों का सामना कर रहे हैं। वायनाड में तो तबाही ही आ चुकी है। यहां भूस्खलन के चलते 308 लोगों को अब तक जान जा चुकी है। वहीं बारिश के पूर्वानुमानों के मद्देनजर त्रिशूर मलप्पुरम कोझिकोड वायनाड कन्नूर और कासरगोड जिलों में स्कूल कॉलेज और ट्यूशन सेंटर सहित सभी शैक्षणिक संस्थान आज यानी 2 अगस्त को बंद रहेंगे।

The Indian Army today located 4 survivors, including two men and two women. An Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) was used to evacuate the injured. Wayanad Landslides is already facing massive landslides. So far 308 people have died due to 2 landslides.
Meanwhile, in view of the forecast of rain, all educational institutions including schools, colleges and tuition centers in Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod districts will remain closed today i.e. on August 2. The announcement of the holiday came as the Kerala Meteorological Department has issued an ‘orange’ alert of rain in Wayanad district till Saturday.
Normal life affected due to heavy rains and waterlogging in Thrissur and holiday has been ordered in schools.
Many schools in Kerala are functioning as relief camps.
According to the latest information from the Meteorological Department, heavy rains are expected to continue in Kerala till August 5.
Three days after the landslide in Wayanad, rescue teams are still carrying out operations to rescue people trapped in collapsed buildings.
Yesterday, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra visited the landslide affected area in Churalmala, Wayanad. Addressing the media, Rahul Gandhi said that this is a terrible tragedy for Wayanad and a lot needs to be done here.
The death toll is expected to rise as many people are still missing. Meanwhile, Kerala Health Minister Veena George said that the death toll has now reached 308.
According to the Wayanad district administration, the dead include 27 children and 76 women and are mostly from the worst-affected areas of Mundakkai and Churalamala.
