IPL 2024: 'RCB didn't give up', Faf du Plessis proud of team for tough fight against SRH

Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Faf du Plessis said he was proud of the team for a tough fight against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Batting first, SRH posted a record of 287/3 in the match played at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday. In reply, RCB scored 262 runs by losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. SRH won the match by 25 runs.
Sports Desk, New Delhi. The 30th match of IPL 2024 between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad was rained on on Monday. In the match played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Hyderabad scored 287/3 in 20 overs by batting first. In reply, RCB also fought hard, but could score 262 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.
This was RCB’s sixth defeat in the current season. However, RCB captain Faf du Plessis is proud of his team, who put up a tough fight against the SRH players. RCB’s batsmen took an aggressive approach and scored the highest score of the second innings. Faf du Plessis called Chinnaswamy’s pitch the perfect T20 wicket and said the team’s confidence was a bit low.
Dhansu performance in Powerplay
Faf du Plessis added 80 runs in the powerplay with Virat Kohli. The pair were getting on well, but Kohli was dismissed by Mayank Markande to break the partnership. Faf du Plessis also could not stay at the crease for long and got out after scoring 62 runs in 28 balls in the 10th over.
It’s been tough for RCB
After this defeat, the road to reach the playoffs has become difficult for Royal Challengers Bangalore. RCB team is at the last place in the points table with 2 points from seven matches.
