PAK: Terror attack on Swat Police Station, 12 killed, three buildings destroyed
A terrorist attack took place on Monday at a police station in Pakistan’s Swat district. Twelve people were killed in the attack, eight of whom were policemen. At present the number of injured is said to be more than 40.
The attack took place on the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Kabal, Swat district. It is being called a terrorist attack. Police say there were two explosions inside the police station, which completely destroyed the buildings. Calling it a terrorist attack, DPO Swat Shafiullah said that three buildings had collapsed due to the blast. A fire also broke out immediately after the explosion.
As reported by Dawn, a police officer Imdad said that according to the initial report, the explosion took place at the police station premises at 8.20 pm. The complex also houses the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) office and a mosque. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Inspector General Akhtar Hayat Khan says security officials across the province have been put on high alert.

Fly Dubai Flight Caught Fire: On Monday (April 24) in Nepal, the engine of a Fly Dubai aircraft on its way to Dubai from Kathmandu airport caught fire. After which the plane was landed safely. Nepal Civil Aviation Authority said Fly Dubai Flight 576 (Boeing 737-800) landed safely. This flight is going from Kathmandu to Dubai. Operations at Kathmandu airport have now returned to normal.
A Dubai plane that allegedly caught fire while taking off from Kathmandu airport has now been sent to Dubai, Nepal’s tourism minister says. There were 20 Nepalese and 49 foreign nationals on the Dubai-bound flight.
