Mathura: Holi celebrations begin in Lord Krishna's city, elderly and widows play grand Holi with flowers

At present, there is great enthusiasm in India for the festival of Holi and Dhuteti. This year Holi-Dhooleti festival will be celebrated on March 7 and 8. In Krishna Nagri Mathura and its surrounding areas, the festival starts 10-15 days before.


Holi has started in Lord Krishna’s city Mathura. Holi of colors and gulal is being played all around. A grand Phool Holi was organized on Sunday at the Maitri Widow Ashram House in the Pani Ghat area located on the Parikrama Marg of Vrindavan. In which elderly and widowed mothers enjoyed the Holi of flowers, people from outside the village also participated in this Holi.

The Nova Holi festival was organized with much fanfare on Sunday at the Maitri Widow Old Age Ashram located on the Parikrama Marg of Vrindavan. Old and widowed mothers were seen dancing and singing to the beat of drums in the ashram. Holi is organized here every year for many years.

The first Holi was celebrated in this ashram in 2014. All the mothers were very happy with the program. Since then, Holi Holi is played here every year. A 102-year-old woman also played Holi


The oldest woman in this Holi was 102-year-old Renu Dasi. who enjoyed the Holi of flowers. At present 100 mothers live in this ashram. Giving more information about this, the organizer of the program Journal Bhupendra said that there is no happiness in the life of mothers.

To fill their life with happiness and make them happy we organize Holi here every year, under which this time too a grand celebration of Holi of flowers was organized and mothers participated in this Holi and celebrated Holi with joy.
