Court convicts Asaram in Surat rape case, acquits 6 accused for lack of evidence

Asaram Bapu has been declared guilty in the Surat rape case. It is worth mentioning that all the accused except Asaram have been acquitted and released. A case of rape was registered against a total of 7 accused including Asaram.


The Sessions Court has declared Asara guilty in the Surat rape case. While the other 6 accused have been acquitted and released due to lack of evidence. A case of rape was registered against 7 people including Asaram in this case. According to the information, the incident took place in the year 2001 and a case of rape was registered in the year 2013.

The punishment will be given tomorrow


It may be mentioned that currently Asaram is serving his sentence in Jodhpur jail. Then the court acquitted 6 accused due to lack of evidence. Asaram will be sentenced at 11 am tomorrow.

What is the matter?


Two sisters from Surat accused Asharam of rape. Along with Asaram, his son Narayan Sai was also accused of rape. Both the sisters then registered separate complaints against the father and son. The elder sister’s case was transferred to Gandhinagar. A case was registered on October 6, 2013. When this incident happened in the year 2001. 55 witnesses were examined on behalf of the government. Contradictions were found in the statements of all the witnesses. It may be mentioned that, in this incident, a crime was registered against a total of 8 accused and one of them was made a witness. Apart from this, a charge sheet was filed against seven accused.
