Before the budget presentation by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on February 1, the banks will not have smooth working for four consecutive days. This is because, the United Forum of Bank Unions has announced that bank employees will go on strike on January 30 and 31. Apart from this, the bank will also be closed on the fourth Saturday and Sunday of the month. In this way banks will remain closed for four consecutive days. If you also want to do bank related work at the end of this month, then settle before this.

Bank closed for 4 consecutive days

As the bank is closed for 4 consecutive days, the customers may face a lot of trouble. ATMs can also experience problems like capital depletion and check clearance. Online service of banks will continue. UFBU claims that the employees of all the banks across the country will participate in this strike.

Why are the employees going on strike?

On non-fulfillment of this demand by the government, now the employees are going on strike for two days from 30th January to put pressure on them. UFBU has announced to go on strike on January 13. The All India Bank Employees’ Association says that they have sent their demand letters to the Indian Banks’ Association. But there was no response from the bank association. Now the only option left for the employees to fulfill their demands is strike.

AIBEA chief CH Venkatachalam said that bank employees have 5 demands. Bank unions are demanding that the working hours of banks should be done in 5 days. Along with this the pension should also be updated. Also, the employees are demanding that the NPS should be abolished. Salary will also be discussed for increase. Besides, it has also been demanded to start the recruitment process in all the cadres.
