Let it be known that Hyderabad-based Bharat Biotech has developed this vaccine in collaboration with Washington School of Medicine. The nasal spray vaccine can be given as a primary and booster dose.

The Government of India approved the use of this vaccine on December 23 last year. Before the launch, it was stated that the vaccine will be made available in private hospitals first. Like the other two vaccines, slots will be booked in the Covin website itself for taking doses of this vaccine.

Know the benefits of nasal vaccine

1-Nasal vaccines are vaccines that are administered through the nose. This vaccine can be given to all people very easily. It is called intranasal vaccine. Now no one will need any kind of injection to give a dose of this vaccine.

2-The specialty of this nasal vaccine is that it can usually be given as a booster dose of corona or also as a primary vaccine. This nasal vaccine can be given as a booster dose for those receiving both Covaccine and CoviShield vaccines.

3-This will prove to be very effective against vaccine infection and transmission. Since it is given through the nose, it will directly affect the area where the corona virus spreads the most, so it is believed to be more beneficial than the previous vaccine.

4-Health workers will not need to be trained to administer this vaccine, as it will be administered directly through the nose. Then another big advantage will be that its storage problem will also be reduced. Currently, the government has to struggle a lot for the storage of the vaccine that is administered.

5-The vaccine, which is being administered earlier, contains several doses in a small bottle which, once opened, does not last long. Then it will be beneficial that the waste of vaccine will also be reduced. If the vaccine goes in directly through the nose, the risk of nasal transmission will also be reduced.
