Ration card holders will get Rs 1000-1000, 1 kg of rice and sugar next week.

Tamilnadu government has announced to give state money to the people. The Chief Minister of the state MK Stalin has directed to give 1000 rupees to the ration card holders on the occasion of Pongal next month.

The chief minister announced the order
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin gave an order and said that on the occasion of Pongal next month, Rs 1000-1000 has been promised to the ration card holders. The state government gives some amount to the poor every year on Pongal. Along with this, rice, sugar and necessary goods are also given as gifts.
One kg of rice and sugar will also be available
According to a government statement, along with Rs 1000, rice and sugar will also be given to ration card holders. This order will also apply to families living in Sri Lankan resettlement camps. Distribution of money will start from January 2
The decision taken by the government will benefit around 2.19 crore card holders of the state. This decision will put a burden of Rs 2356.67 crore on the government exchequer. Stalin will give this gift from January 2 and this festival will be celebrated on January 15.
