Delhi’s Kejriwal government minister Satyendra Jain, who is in Tihar jail in a money laundering case, has increased his troubles. In the CCTV footage that has gone viral on social media, it has been revealed that Satyendra Jain, imprisoned in Tihar Jail, is living a fun-filled life in the jail. In the CCTV footage, Satyendra Jain is seen enjoying a massage in his barracks in the jail. An unidentified person is seen massaging Minister Satyendra Jain’s legs and body in a jail cell. The ED has complained about the entire matter to the court and handed over the CCTV footage of the jail to the court.
Satyendra Jain is lodged in jail number seven in Tihar. Four jail officials and employees, including the jail superintendent, have been suspended for providing facilities to Satyendra Jain. At the same time, more than 35 prison officers and employees have been replaced.
After the footage surfaced, the Aam Aadmi Party has targeted the Bharatiya Janata Party. After the footage surfaced, the BJP alleged that Satyendra Jain was getting VIP treatment in jail. BJP spokesperson Shahjad Poonawalla said that the AAP government has violated jail rules and instead of punishment, Satyendra Jain is being given full VVIP fun. On the other hand, BJP MP from Kannauj Subrata Pathak said that the treatment being done inside the Jail Minister’s jail clearly shows what is going on. He said that even after the court’s remarks, no action was taken against Satyendra Jain. Aam Aadmi Party’s face has come out due to Jail Minister’s imprisonment. He said that Tihar Jail is under the Delhi government, so the government has full security.
ED arrested Jain on May 30
Let us tell you that Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi government minister Satyendra Jain was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on May 30 under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. A case has been registered against Satyendra Jain in the disproportionate assets case. Earlier, in April, the Enforcement Directorate had fined Jain’s family and companies under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 for Rs. Immovable properties worth 4.81 crores were confiscated. This includes the properties of Akinchan Developers Pvt Ltd, Indo Metal Impex Pvt Ltd and other companies.
Jain is alleged to have started or bought several shell companies in Delhi. He also laundered black money of Rs 16.39 crore through 54 shell companies of three Kolkata-based hawala operators. Jain held a large number of shares in companies named Prayas, Indo and Akinchan.
According to reports, after he became a minister in the Kejriwal government in 2015, all of Jain’s shares were transferred to his wife. After the arrest, when the matter came to the fore, when the ED questioned Jain by showing him money laundering documents, he claimed to have lost his memory due to Corona.
