Sweeper pushed in front of moving train, VIDEO: Worker's hand amputated as he falls between platforms; Jammu Mail was passing through Ambala Cantt Railway Station

A mentally ill youth pushed a sweeper in front of a train at Ambala Cantt railway station. Mahendra, a resident of Chandrapuri, got his left hand cut off after falling under the jolting train. The injured cleaner has been referred to PGI Chandigarh from Ambala Cantt Civil Hospital. His condition is said to be critical. This incident of tragedy was captured in the CCTV camera.


In the video, it is seen that the cleaning worker is walking on the platform when suddenly a young man pushes him. Due to which he falls directly on the track and the train keeps passing over him. The accident took place on Monday at 12.30 pm at Platform No-1 when the Jammu Mail train was passing. After the accident, there was chaos at the station.

A mentally ill youth pushed

According to the information, the mentally ill youth is a resident of the artillery. The family has expelled the youth. Supervisor Vineet said that Mahendra was going on duty at platform no-1 after leaving the office. Meanwhile, a mentally ill youth standing on the platform pushed Mahendra and he fell into the gap between the platforms.


Hand of cleaner cut off, sent to PGI

Mahendra’s hand was cut off when he was trapped under the train. Mahendra was immediately rushed to Kent Civil Hospital, but from here Mahendra was referred to PGI Chandigarh due to his critical condition.

The victim’s statement was not recorded


According to information, Mahendra has been operated in PGI. GRP went to PGI to record the statement of the victim Mahendra, but his statement was not recorded as his condition was critical. GRP says that further action will be taken after recording the statement.
