More than 1000 crores bet at the box office this month, these big budget films will be released

In 2022, the box office was sluggish for Hindi films, but the industries of the South got to see some big hits. Now the month of September has started and the opportunity of grand experience has come on the screen for the film watchers. The excitement of the public at the ticket window will matter a lot this month as the stakes are huge this time.
The month of September has started and the time has come to rejoice for the people who have been waiting for two very big films for years. Where fans of Hindi films are waiting for Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy starrer ‘Brahmastra’ for many years. At the same time, Tamil cinema’s dream project ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ (Ponniyin Selvan- PS 1) is finally ready to reach theaters.
There has been a big perception among people about this year that South films have been a huge hit at the box office but Hindi films have struggled. Whereas the reality is that many South films have flopped between RRR, KGF 2 and Vikram. In such a situation, the month of September has brought a big test for the box office.
This is because excluding medium budget and low budget films altogether, if only big budget films are added, then in September, the box office is at stake of more than 1000 crores. Let’s explain how:
‘Brahmastra’ starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt was first announced in July 2014. From the pre-production stage to the delay in the shoot and then the extra time spent on editing, the film has taken more than 8 years to complete. Finally ‘Brahmastra’ is ready for release in theaters on 9 September.
Amidst the controversies that have started on social media, this film, waiting to drag the public to theatres, has been made in a budget of 400 crores. Yes, if reports are to be believed, the budget of ‘Brahmastra’ is more than that of SS Rajamouli’s RRR with amazing visuals and KGF 2 which stuns the minds of the fans.
Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan starrer ‘Vikram Vedha’ is a Hindi remake of the Tamil film of the same name. The Hindi film is being directed by the same Pushkar-Gayatri duo, who made the Tamil classic. But the biggest difference that is visible in the Hindi version is that Hrithik-Saif’s film looks quite grand. And so much everyone knows that films are grand when a good budget is spent. Reports suggest that the budget of ‘Vikram Vedha’ (Hindi) is between 150 to 175 crores.
From Hindi to Tamil, Telugu and Kannada, many films worth 10-20 crores are ready for release in September. In such a situation, when three big films have put more than Rs 1000 crores at the box office, then the matter will become bigger by adding the rest of the films. So if you are a movie fan, then believe me there is no better month than September to flaunt your fandom and get lost in the movies!
