Ghulam Nabi Azad Resigned: Ghulam Nabi Azad breaks with Congress, resigns from all posts including Primary Member

Ghulam Nabi Azad Resigned: Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad has resigned from all posts including primary member of Congress. He had been disgruntled with the party for a long time and was also involved in the G-23 team.
Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad has finally parted ways with the Congress party. He has submitted his resignation to Sonia Gandhi on Friday. It may be mentioned that, he was angry with the party for a long time. Apart from this, he has also been the third Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.
It may be mentioned that last week Ghulam Nabi Azad resigned from the post of Chairperson of Jammu and Kashmir Congress Campaign Committee. After a week, he has resigned from all the posts of the Congress party. Importantly, Ghulam Nabi Azad is a member of the G-23 Committee which is seeking to replace the Congress leadership. He believes that it is not necessary to depend on the Gandhi family for every major decision.
Resignation handed over to Sonia Gandhi
Gulamanbi Azad has written a resignation letter to Sonia Gandhi. In it, he has written that, ‘There was a need to do the Congress Jodo Yatra before doing the Bharat Jodo Yatra.’ Apart from this, he also made strong comments about the Congress Presidentship assigned to Rahul Gandhi. He further wrote that the party had sidelined the senior and most experienced leaders. In his place, inexperienced people were entrusted with the work of the party.
Attacked Rahul Gandhi in resignation
Azad, who was an important member of the Congress dissident group G-23, wrote in his resignation that, ‘Sonia Gandhi was just a name. All important decisions were taken by Rahul Gandhi. However, the situation was even worse when his personal secretary and security personnel were taking decisions. Ghulam Nabi Azad accused Rahul Gandhi and said that he destroyed all the advisory systems present in the party before 2013. All the senior and experienced leaders were sidelined and a new group of inexperienced champloosy people took over the command of the party.
The process of mass election in Congress is only show and pretence: Azad
Azad resigned from the Congress days after resigning from the organizational post of Jammu and Kashmir in charge of health-related issues. In his five-page resignation letter, he wrote, “The situation of the Congress party has now reached a point from which it will be difficult to return.” The collective election process in it is only show and pretense. There is no electoral process at any level of organization anywhere in the country. AICC’s handpicked lieutenants were only coerced into signing the instructions prepared by the Chatukar Mandal who run the Congress party while sitting in 24 Akbar Road.’
Attempts were made to impose an irresponsible person on the party: Azad
Azad resigned only when the Congress again postponed the election to the post of president. Because the party’s main leaders wanted to focus on the Bharat Jodi Yatra and at the same time give one last chance to Rahul Gandhi to hand over the reins of the party again. In his resignation letter, Azad pointed a direct target at Rahul Gandhi and wrote, “The Congress has laid down its arms against the BJP at the national level and all other parties at the state level. All this happened because in the last 8 years there was an attempt to impose the leadership of the party on an irresponsible person. Rahul Gandhi’s sudden decision to step down after losing the 2019 elections made the situation worse. The remote control model that destroyed the UPA has also been applied to the Congress.
