Delhi: Maha Panchayat was convened on Jantar-Mantar, know now what is the demand of farmers

In this mahapanchayat, farmer leaders will review whether the promises made by the central government to the farmers during the return of the farmers’ movement have been implemented. It also included ensuring the implementation of the MSP Guarantee Act.
Under the auspices of the United Kisan Morcha, a Mahapanchayat of farmers has been called today at Jantar-Mantar in Delhi. In this mahapanchayat, farmer leaders will review whether the promises made by the central government to the farmers during the return of the farmers’ movement have been implemented. It also included ensuring the implementation of the MSP Guarantee Act. Shiv Kumar ‘Kakka’, one of the prominent leaders of the United Kisan Morcha who joined the Kisan Mahapanchayat, said in an exclusive conversation with TV9 Bharatvarsha that there has been no progress on the MSP guarantee law.
Kakkaji said that there is a lot of frustration and resentment among the farmers due to the central government’s stance on the MSP Guarantee Act. The farmer is feeling cheated. Apart from the MSP Guarantee Act, justice to Lakhimpur massacre victims, demand for arrest of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra Teni, payment of sugarcane arrears with increase in sugarcane support price, payment of dues of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, cancellation of Agneepath Yojana, waiver of all types of farmers’ loans, farmers’ There are many demands including withdrawal of all kinds of cases against farmers during the agitation, for which this mahapanchayat of farmers has been called today.
A memorandum will be submitted to the President
He said that this Maha Panchayat will be held at Jantar-Mantar in Delhi from 11 am to 4 pm. After which a memorandum based on all the demands on behalf of the farmers’ leaders will be submitted to His Excellency the President.
Tight security system
Thousands of farmers from several states including Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh are reaching the Jantar-Mantar to participate in the Kisan Mahapanchayat at the Jantar-Mantar in Delhi. Keeping this in mind, tight security arrangements have been made at the Jantar-Mantar. Along with Delhi Police personnel, paramilitary forces have also been deployed here.
Several water cannon vehicles have also been installed here. Due to tight security arrangements at Indus border, Tikri border and Gazipur border in Delhi, traffic was jammed for several hours in the morning. Due to which people coming to the office have to face a lot of trouble.
A steady flow of farmers continued to arrive
Amidst all this, the process of farmers coming to Jantar-Mantar is going on continuously. Farmers are once again uniting for their demands and trying to send a message to the government that their demands be implemented at the earliest and they are not forced to agitate once again. Now the impact of this movement on the government will be known only in the coming time.
