Ambala City. On the last Monday of the month of Shravan at Shri Neelkanth Mahadev Temple in Sector 7, Shiva devotees offered prayers with the cheers of Bam Bam Bhole. The priest of the temple, Pandit Bhagwati Prasad Purohit, told that on all Mondays of the month of Shravan, a huge crowd of Shiva devotees continued to throng the temple. Devotees started coming to the temple from around 4.30 am on Monday. This process continued till 10 am.
Similarly, on the last Monday of Sawan month at Shri Mahadev Temple and Satsang Bhawan located in Sector 9, devotees reached the temple and performed Jalabhishek on Shivling and offered fruits, flowers etc. The priest of the temple, Dinesh Shastri, told that the story of Maha Shivpuran continued every day in the month of Sawan.
There were lines of devotees in the Shiv Dham temple of Sector 9. The movement of devotees started in the temple at around 5 in the morning. Priest Ved Prakash Shastri told that keeping in view the last Monday of Sawan month, the crowd of devotees continued throughout the day in the temple. At the same time, worship was done by chanting mantras from the priests of the temple.
