Supreme Court sent notice to Mahendra Singh Dhoni in this case
Former Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been slapped with a notice by the Supreme Court. The case of transactions between Amrapali Group (Amrapali Group) and MS Dhoni is going on, which was heard in the Supreme Court. MS Dhoni received Rs. 150 crore dues are due, on the other hand the customers of the group are not getting their flats, so the matter has reached the Supreme Court. The case between Amrapali Group and Mahendra Singh Dhoni was earlier in the Delhi High Court, where the High Court constituted a committee. The committee headed by retired Justice Veena Birbal was responsible for resolving the matter. Only after the formation of the committee, the victims raised the matter in the Supreme Court. During the hearing in the Supreme Court, it has been argued on behalf of the victims that the Amrapali Group is short of funds, hence the flats booked by them are not available.

The victims say that Mahendra Singh Dhoni has brought a case of his outstanding Rs 150 crore against the committee formed by the Delhi High Court. Mahendra Singh Dhoni was the brand ambassador of Amrapali Group, for this he has to get Rs 150 crore. Now it has been argued by the victims that their flats will not be available if the Amrapali Group spends money to pay the dues of MS Dhoni. In this context, the Supreme Court has now issued a notice to Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Amrapali Group and asked them to present their side. However, the Supreme Court has not yet stayed the hearing of the Arbitration Committee or any other proceedings.
What is the connection between Amrapali Group and MS Dhoni?
Amrapali Group was accused of not yet giving flats to many of its customers, the matter reached the court after the project was not completed despite taking money. Mahendra Singh Dhoni was the brand ambassador of Amrapali Group during this period. He also shot several commercials for the group. In 2016, when protests over some Amrapali Group projects in Noida turned violent, a social media campaign was launched against MS Dhoni. Amidst this huge controversy, MS Dhoni withdrew his name from Amrapali Group’s brand ambassador. However, after some time when the matter was going on in court and a committee was formed. MS Dhoni then applied that he should pay the Amrapali Group Rs. 150 crore owed, which is his fee as a brand ambassador.
