Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday appealed to people to strengthen the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign by hoisting the national flag at their homes from August 13 to August 15 next month. PM Modi said through a tweet that this campaign will deepen our connection with the tricolor. He also mentioned that the tricolor was adopted as the national flag on 22 July 1947. In his tweet on Friday, Prime Minister Modi said, “Today we remember the courage and efforts of all those who dreamed of a flag for an independent India when we were fighting against the colonial rule. We reiterate our commitment to realize their dreams and build the India of their dreams

Modi also shared the details of the official communication regarding the adoption of the tricolor as the national flag on Twitter. He also tweeted a picture of the first tricolor hoisted by India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. The Modi government has planned to launch the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign on the 75th anniversary of India’s independence.

BJP calls for singing national anthem Vande Mataram during campaigning




The Bharatiya Janata Party had asked its members to sing the devotional song ‘Raghupati Raghava Raja Ram’ and the national anthem ‘Vande Mataram’ during the morning procession as part of its ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign to commemorate the 75th independence anniversary. In an order issued to all state units, party general secretary Arun Singh said the BJP has directed all its state units, MPs and MLAs across the country to participate in the week-long ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign starting from August 9. Earlier this week, BJP president JP Nadda and senior leader and Union Home Minister Amit Shah held an online meeting with party workers, state unit presidents and organization general secretaries and directed them to participate in the campaign.
