When the accident report came in, everyone thought that the ambulance accident was due to the uncontrolled speed of the ambulance and then the slippery ground due to the rain. Ambulance driver suddenly coming in front of the cow must have braked from a distance to save the cow and thus the speeding ambulance went out of control and hit the toll plaza.

The accident victim ambulance was taking a patient to Honnavara in Uttara Kannada district for treatment. Seeing the ambulance, the employees stationed at the toll plaza started removing the stoppers there. But suddenly the ambulance overturned. Four people lost their lives in this accident. The dead included a patient in the ambulance, a person accompanying the patient, medical staff and a toll employee.
