Bus carrying 50 passengers plunges into Narmada in Madhya Pradesh, 13 dead: Search for 25 passengers

Bus going from Indore to Pune of Maharashtra ST broke the railing while overtaking and fell into the river: 15 rescued

Bhopal, dt. 18 : In a horrific accident in Madhya Pradesh, a bus carrying more than 50 pilgrims plunged into the Narmada river in Dhar district, killing at least 15 pilgrims while the search for 23 to 25 pilgrims is still on and 15 have been rescued.

This Maharashtra government roadways bus was going from Indore to Pune and the bus fell into the Narmada river from the Sanjaysetu bridge after the steering of the bus got locked on the Narmada river bridge. The accident took place on the Agra-Mumbai highway, 80 kilometers away from Indore. After this bus fell into the river around 10 am, relief and rescue operations have been started immediately. Many of the surviving pilgrims are in critical condition and have been admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment. Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra rushed to the accident site.

Some passengers were rescued immediately in this accident, according to them, the driver lost control of the bus while overtaking another vehicle and the bus broke the railing and plunged into the pool. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Chauhan immediately dispatched a special team for rescue and relief operations and the death toll is feared to rise.
