Big revelation in SIT report: Teesta took Rs 30 lakh from Ahmed Patel to defame Gujarat government in 2002

The Gujarat SIT has made a major revelation against social activist Teesta Setalvad in an affidavit regarding the 2002 Gujarat riots. The SIT says Teesta received funds from the Congress in 2002 to defame the Gujarat government. According to the SIT affidavit, Setalvad was once given Rs 5 lakh and another time Rs 25 lakh at the behest of Congress-president Sonia Gandhi’s adviser Ahmed Patel. The SIT said this while opposing the bail plea filed on behalf of Teesta, who is jailed in the Gujarat riots case.

The SIT said in its affidavit that RB Sreekumar, then DGP of Gujarat, and former IPS Sanjeev Bhatt were also involved in conspiring with Teesta. After the Gujarat riots, these people hatched a conspiracy to destabilize the Narendra Modi-led state government. However, the Congress has strongly denied these allegations. Such allegations are being made to defame the opposition.

Actually, his boss Sonia Gandhi was behind this conspiracy. Sonia Gandhi along with her chief political advisor Ahmed Patel tried to tarnish the image of Gujarat.

Sambit Patra alleged that Sonia Gandhi gave Rs 30 lakh to Teesta Setalvad. He said that Ahmed Patel had delivered the rupees. Sonia Gandhi may have then given crores of rupees to humiliate and defame Narendra Modi.
