CCTV footage of a Rs 1.5 crore bank robbery in Bhiwadi, Alwar, Rajasthan on Monday has come out. The footage shows six people holding pistols and holding 25 bank employees and customers hostage. The robbers held the hostages in front of the Strong Room. The robbers were leaving Rs 1.5 crore in the bank due to the fall of the bag.
Six armed men took Rs 90 lakh 43 thousand and gold worth about Rs 25 lakh from Axis Bank at Rico Chowk. However, due to haste, he was leaving a bag full of notes, the chain of which could not be closed. The robbers looted in just 16 minutes. The robbers fled at 9.30 am carrying cash and jewelery.

Guard Mahesh Sharma was standing at the gate of the bank. The guard did not have a weapon, the robbers put a pistol on Mahesh’s head as soon as he entered. He later reached the chamber of bank manager Ajit Yadav.
The manager said he took all the staff hostage in just 1 minute. He held them all together and raised his hands. Mobile also snatched. In order to avoid any suspicion, a robber stood outside and went into the bank one by one.

A total of Rs 90.43 lakh cash was packed in separate bags. Apart from this, they also took away gold jewelery worth about Rs 25 lakh pledged in the bank.

The bank manager said the robbers took most of the 2000 and 500 notes in bags. 200, 100 and 50 rupee notes could not be carried. About Rs 1 crore 46 lakh remained in the Strog room. However, Rs 93 lakh was taken away by the robbers.
