The incident is said to have happened at 6 pm on Wednesday. Aarti Devi (25), a resident of Jhalaria Kuan village, first stabbed her child Manu in the throat and then committed suicide.

During the incident, the mother-in-law of the woman was running a home-made flour mill and her husband Ramlal and father-in-law had gone to the temple. After some time husband and father-in-law arrived and saw that the door of the room was closed and there was a sound of cutter running inside. When husband Ramlal went to the room through the window, the child was crying in a bloody condition and the wife was lying unconscious.

The relatives took the mother and son in a bloody condition to a private hospital on Bikaner Road, where the doctor referred them to PBM Hospital in Bikaner. The woman died on the way while being taken to Bikaner. Doctors say the condition of the child is critical and there are four wounds on the neck. Here, on receiving information about the incident, Sardarshahr police station officer Satpal Vishnoi reached the spot. DSP Narendra Kumar Sharma also reached the spot at 12 pm.

The deceased Aarti was a resident of Bihar. She was married 2 years ago to Ramlal of Sardarshahr. According to the family, on Wednesday afternoon, husband Ramlal had asked to bring curd. There was an argument between the husband and wife about this matter, after which he took this step in anger. During interrogation of the people around, it came to light that there was frequent argument between husband and wife.

On the other hand, Councilor husband Tarachand Saini told that this case does not seem to be of suicide. There should be a thorough investigation into the matter. He told that the incident took place at 6-7 pm, but the police was informed about it at 10 pm. Tarachand Saini has registered a case.

Sardarshahr DSP Narendra Sharma said that on receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and inspected the spot. In the initial investigation, it was found that there was an argument between the husband and wife regarding the matter of curd. Though the incident took place at 5 pm, the police got the information around 10 am. The FSL team has collected evidence from the spot. The relatives of the deceased living in Bihar have been informed.
