Meteorological Department forecasts rainy weather in Gujarat in next four days, maximum rainfall of 6 inches in Valsad in last 24 hours
Rainy weather is being witnessed in Gujarat. However, rains are forecast in the next four days by the meteorological department in many parts of the country. Rainfall is forecast in Saurashtra, Kutch and South Gujarat today. Rainfall is also forecast in Navsari, Valsad and Surat.
Where will it rain from 1st to 3rd July?
The meteorological department has forecast rains in Navsari, Valsad and Diu on July 1. Along with this, rains are also forecast in some districts of Saurashtra and Kutch on July 1. Rainfall is forecast in Dahod, Mahisagar, Chhotaudeparu on July 2 while rain is forecast in Banaskantha, Patan on July 3. Besides, rain is expected in Mehsana, Sabarkantha and Kutch.

In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall in 41 talukas of the state was recorded in Valsad at 6.5 inches. While 3.5 inches of rain was recorded in Pardi, 2.5 inches in Mahuva, 2 inches in Gariadhar, 2 inches in Vapi, 1.5 inches in Hansot, 1.5 inches in Halol, 1.5 inches in Mangrol, 1 inch in Dharampur, 1 inch in Olpad and 1 inch in Kaprada.
Chance of stormy sea for 4 days
In addition to this, the sea of Daman was also made turbulent by the system and signal number 3 was put on the coast. As part of safety, fishermen were ordered not to plow the seas and tourists were also barred from approaching the coast. The sea is likely to remain stormy for the next four days. The fishermen were instructed to be vigilant by the Fisheries Department.
Current in the sea of Amreli-Jafarabad
Waves of 10 to 12 feet were felt in the sea at Jafarabad in Amreli district. The current was seen in the sea near the light house in Jafrabad. It is to be noted that the current was seen again in the sea after the Tout storm. Strong waves were blowing in the sea due to strong winds.
Instruct fishermen not to plow the sea
Importantly, at some ports in Gujarat, the system has given signal number 3 and the fishermen have been instructed not to plow the sea. It also forecasts winds of 40 to 60 kmph. As the state is on alert at Veraval port, on the coast of Daman as well as at ports including Mundra, Navlakhi, Bedi, Dwarka, Okha, Porbandar, Veraval, Diu, Jafrabad, Pipavav, Bhavnagar, Bharuch and Dahej, signal number 3 has been given at the ports. Fishermen have also been instructed not to plow the sea.
