Maharashtra Politics News: At present, there are 287 MLAs in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. In this, if 39 rebel MLAs of Shiv Sena remain missing in the floor test, then the strength of the house will come down to 248.
Maharashtra Political Crisis: The political stir in Maharashtra has intensified. After the relief to the Eknath Shinde faction from the Supreme Court, the political activities regarding the floor test have increased. According to BJP sources, a no-confidence motion can come against the Uddhav government at any time. On the other hand, there is news that BJP has made full preparations for the political situation to be created after the coup of Uddhav government. The BJP can stake claim to form the government even without the support of the Shinde faction.
If the Mahavikas Aghadi government falls in the floor test in Maharashtra, then the strategy is almost certain about how the BJP will occupy the power of Maharashtra. According to the information received from the sources, Devendra Fadnavis has the complete blueprint ready to form the government. That too when 39 MLAs of Shinde faction are in Guwahati.
BJP’s claim and political math
There are currently 287 MLAs in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. In these, if 39 rebel MLAs of Shiv Sena remain missing in the floor test, then the strength of the house will come down to 248 and in such a situation 125 MLAs will be needed for majority. BJP has 106 of its MLAs. Along with this, there are 7 independents and other MLAs with his support. BJP is confident that 11 independent MLAs of Shinde faction will join it. Along with this, an MLA of Raj Thackeray’s party will also get the support of BJP.
Problems of Uddhav Thackeray government?
The BJP also has claims on three MLAs of Bahujan Vikas Aghadi (MVA). So all these figures are added to 128 which is more than the majority figure. On the other hand, according to BJP sources, the government of Mahavikas Aghadi is now in a minority. Actually, Shiv Sena has 16 MLAs left in the Mahavikas Aghadi government. NCP has 53 MLAs but due to Anil Deshmukh and Nawab Malik being in jail, that number becomes 51. Congress has 44 MLAs. If the support of 2 and three independent MLAs of the Samajwadi Party can be found, then this total number is getting 116 which is less than the majority. In such a situation, the path is very difficult for Uddhav Thackeray.
