International Yoga Day 2022 | Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday launched the 8th International Yoga Day celebrations in the premises of the magnificent and historic Mysore Palace. Modi said, Yoga is not a part of life, it is a way of living. The Prime Minister said, the yoga energy which has been nurtured by the spiritual centers of India for centuries, today that yoga energy is giving direction to world health. Today Yoga is becoming a mutual basis for global cooperation. The Prime Minister said that Yoga is not for individuals, Yoga is for humanity. I heartily thank the United Nations and all the countries for taking this message of yoga to the entire humanity. Modi said that yoga brings peace to the earth and the universe. Yoga can connect millions of people. Yoga is being done simultaneously at 75 historical centers of the country. PM Modi said, people are doing yoga with sunrise in different countries of the world. As the sun is moving forward, people in different countries are joining together with its first ray. Modi said, Yoga also has to be known, it has to live. There is also to receive and there is also to adopt. A day earlier, Prime Minister Modi appealed to the countrymen to make ‘International Yoga Day’ a success. PM Modi said in a tweet, ‘Tomorrow i.e. June 21 will be celebrated as International Yoga Day. This time the event will be held under the theme of ‘Yoga for Humanity’. Let us all make it successful together and increase the popularity of yoga further. It is known that this time 8th International Yoga Day is being celebrated. The first International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21 June 2015.
