Pre-monsoon rains in maximum city with 'rain in Mumbai' trend
Mumbaikars were treated to pre-monsoon rains and soon #MumbaiRains started trending on Twitter. Several areas including Borivali, Goregaon and Powai recorded thunderstorms. Amidst the good weather, many netizens took to Twitter and expressed their happiness through memes. Several Twitter users also shared pictures and videos of cloudy skies. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon is progressing normally and it is likely to reach Maharashtra in the next two days.
On June 11 and 12, some thunderstorm activities can be seen. Talking about monsoon, an IMD official said, “Monsoon has reached Karwar in Karnataka, and we are currently monitoring the situation. We have to wait for it to enter South Konkan and Goa before reaching Mumbai.
Several areas of Mumbai including Borivali, Goregaon and Powai recorded thunderstorms.
