Traumatic accident in Gujarat: Explosion in chemical factory in Dahej Industrial Area of Bharuch, 6 workers working near the reactor burnt alive

A fire broke out at a chemical factory in Gujarat’s Bharuch district on Monday. In which six laborers died. The incident took place at 3 am in Dahej Industrial Area, about 235 km from Ahmedabad. According to Bharuch SP Leena Patil, the workers were working near a reactor, which suddenly exploded. Everyone died because of this. The bodies were sent for postmortem.

At the time when the fire broke out, the distillation process was going on at Om Organic Company. The fire was so fierce that plumes of smoke could be seen from afar. After the accident, the fire brigade reached the spot and the fire was brought under control. The family members of the deceased have been deeply shocked by this incident.

The fire was so severe that all the belongings of the company were burnt to ashes. Along with the police, the health department is also investigating the incident. Police is also checking the fire safety equipment in the company whether they were present in the company or not.

Accidents that happened in the past

Two years ago there was a boiler blast in the Yashasvi Chemical Factory in Dahej of Bharuch. Where 8 people were killed and 52 people were injured. 10 fire tenders were engaged to douse the fire there. Due to the chemical reaction, 5 thousand people were evacuated from nearby villages.
