Weather News: Alert of heavy rain from Haryana-Gujarat to Odisha, monsoon is active in many states

Weather News: Rainy season continues in Delhi and National Capital Region. Meanwhile, a fortnight of the month of September is about to pass. Despite this, monsoon is active. IMD has issued an alert of heavy rain at some places in many northeastern states including Haryana, Gujarat, Bengal, Odisha. Light to heavy rain may occur in many districts of Gujarat from Kutch to Saurashtra.

Apart from Delhi and the National Capital Region, an alert has been issued regarding heavy rain in Haryana, UP, West Bengal, North-Eastern states as well as in many states from Gujarat to Odisha. There are chances of rain in many districts of Gujarat till September 19. At the same time, alert of heavy rain has been issued in many places from the eastern coastal states of Odisha, Bengal to the North-Eastern states.

Heavy rain alert from Haryana to Bengal

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Uttarakhand for the next two days. Apart from Delhi-NCR, rain alert has been issued in MP, UP, Haryana for the next two days. Heavy rains will continue in Haryana till September 15.

Similarly, a warning has also been issued of heavy to very heavy rainfall at some places in Eastern and Western Uttar Pradesh during this period. At the same time, a warning has been given about heavy rain in the eastern coastal states of West Bengal, Odisha as well as in the northeastern states of Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.

Rainy season continues in Gujarat

The rainy season will continue in Gujarat till September 19. However, the Meteorological Department has not issued an alert of heavy rain during this period, which will provide some relief to the people of Gujarat from the continuous spell of heavy rain. However, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain in all the districts of Gujarat till September 19. The offshore trough at IMD mean sea level currently extends from South Gujarat to Karnataka coast. Apart from this, a cyclonic circulation over South Gujarat is now over Saurashtra and adjoining areas.

Rain alert tomorrow in these districts

Porbandar, Bhavnagar, Kutch, Daman and Dadra Nagar Haveli on Saturday. Light to moderate rain is expected at isolated places over Gujarat on September 14, especially over areas like Aravalli, Vadodara, Anand, Surat and Navsari. There is a possibility of isolated rain in Saurashtra and Kutch regions also. On September 15 and 16, light rain may occur at isolated places over Gujarat and Saurashtra-Kutch districts including Surat, Ahmedabad, Junagadh and Dwarka.

Chance of rain in capital Delhi tomorrow also

There has been rain in Delhi and National Capital Region for the last two days. Due to continuous rain, the weather has started feeling cool. This has provided relief to people from the humidity. Delhi NCR will remain cloudy on Saturday also and there is a possibility of rain. The sky will remain cloudy from September 15 to September 17. There are chances of rain and thundershowers in Delhi on September 18.

This is the reason behind good rains in Delhi-NCR

Due to heavy rains in Delhi NCR, there is problem of traffic jam at many places. At many places, people are facing problems in movement due to water logging on the roads and in some underpasses. Meanwhile, according to IMD, the monsoon trough has come close to Delhi. This is the reason why there is a yellow alert for rain in Delhi-NCR between 11th and 13th September.
