Monsoon has again changed direction in many parts of the country including North India. According to the Meteorological Department, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh are likely to experience heavy rainfall for the next three days.
After respite from the heavy rains for the past several days, it rained again in Mumbai on Thursday after which the IMD has issued a yellow alert in the city. According to the Meteorological Department, Mumbai and Thane may experience light to moderate rain till Friday. The low-lying areas of the city were flooded due to the rains on Thursday.
Chance of heavy rain in Maharashtra-Gujarat
According to the Met department, heavy rain is likely over Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, parts of Maharashtra and East Rajasthan and Uttarakhand during the next three days. After that, rainfall will decrease in these areas. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of rain in the North-Eastern states. According to the IMD, heavy rainfall is likely at various places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on September 11. Apart from that, heavy rain is predicted in Assam Meghalaya on September 7 and Orissa on September 8.
Chance of rain in Delhi-Rajasthan
According to the Meteorological Department, Delhi will remain cloudy on Friday and rain may occur at some places during the day. Apart from that, the entire NCR including Delhi is likely to witness light rain on September 8 followed by clear skies for two days. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the AQI may remain around 60 on Friday. In the last 24 hours, there was heavy rain in many districts including Jodhpur-Barmer of Rajasthan. Bharatpur, Jaipur, Vaimadhopur, Karoli, Bhilwara, Tonk, Jodhpur and Barmer may experience light rain on Friday.
Rain is likely here during the next week
According to the IMD, Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan to Chitpur may experience moderate rain till the end of this week. Talking about Delhi, cloudy weather will remain till September 14. During this time it may rain in some areas.
