Vadodara Flood: Due to heavy rains in Gujarat, many areas have been submerged. State Health Minister Hrishikesh Patel said that the Vishwamitri river flowing through Vadodara in Gujarat is flowing 12 feet above its danger mark. So far 5000 people have been evacuated from low-lying areas while 1200 people have been rescued.
IANS, Vadodara. Due to heavy rains in Gujarat, many areas have been submerged, due to which life has become disrupted in most areas. Due to water logging in low-lying areas of the state, flood-like situations have arisen at many places. Here, there is a severe flood situation in Vadodara city for the last three days. In some areas the water level has reached 10-12 feet.
Vishwamitri river flowing above the danger mark
State Health Minister Hrishikesh Patel said that the Vishwamitri river flowing through Vadodara in Gujarat is flowing 12 feet above its danger mark and the low-lying areas have been completely submerged. He told that there is a flood situation on both sides of the river. In some areas the water level has reached 10-12 feet.
5000 people were rescued
According to news agency IANS, so far 5,000 people have been evacuated from low-lying areas, while 1200 people have been rescued. According to the Health Minister, the situation may come under control in the next 24 hours. He said that entire Gujarat has been affected due to heavy rains. There has been severe flood in Vadodara due to rising water level in Vishwamitri river.
