Varun Dhawan's entry confirmed in Border 2, Sunny Deol welcomes new soldier in the battalion
Varun Dhawan has announced his upcoming film between Baby John and Citadel Honey Bunny. There was a lot of talk for a long time that he will be seen in Sunny Deol starrer film Border 2. Finally, Varun Dhawan himself has confirmed these news and shared the announcement video from the much awaited film.
Entertainment Desk, New Delhi. The film Border, based on the 1971 India-Pakistan war, was the second highest-grossing film of 1997. Actors like Sunny Deol, Sunil Shetty, Jackie Shroff and Akshaye Khanna were in important roles in the film directed by JP Dutta. Border is going to have a sequel after almost 29 years.
Some time ago the makers had announced Border 2. Sunny Deol’s role in the film is confirmed, but other new faces will be seen. Earlier there was news that Dream Girl actor Ayushmann Khurrana will be seen in an important role in the role of a soldier along with Sunny Deol, but now he is out of the film. His place has been taken by Bollywood’s ‘Bhediya’.

Ever since Ayushmann Khurrana refused the film, speculations were rife that Varun Dhawan has been signed in Border 2. Now Bhediya star Varun Dhawan has confirmed his entry in Border 2 with an announcement video on Friday. He has shared an announcement video on social media and expressed his happiness of being associated with the film.

While sharing the announcement video of Border 2, Varun Dhawan wrote, “I was in 4th class, when I went to Chandan cinema and saw Border and it made a huge impact on me. I still remember how in the hall we all did national pride. I started idolizing our armed forces and even today I salute them for how they protect us and keep us safe at our borders or during natural disasters.”
Varun Dhawan further said, “JP Dutta sir’s War film is still one of my favorite films. Playing a role in Border 2 produced by JP sir and Bhushan Kumar is a very special moment in my career. Having the opportunity to work with my hero Sunny Paaji (Sunny Deol) made it even more special. I am excited to bring the story of a brave soldier to the screen in what promises to be India’s biggest war film. ”
