Uttarakhand News : Due to heavy rains in the hilly areas, landslides are continuously occurring in many places in Uttarakhand. Meanwhile, a major accident took place in Khat Gadera area near Fata Helipad on Friday night in which four people were buried under the debris. On receiving information about the accident, SDRF team reached the spot and started relief work. On Friday morning, rescuers found the four dead buried under the debris.
According to preliminary details, these four deceased are Nepalese nationals and the DDRF team is bringing their dead bodies to Rudraprayag. District Disaster Management Officer Nandan Singh Rajwar has given the information. Notably, a rescue team was sent to the spot for rescue operations after getting information about the accident at around 1 am where work started to safely pull people out of the debris. However, the rain continued to hamper the rescue work. Disaster Management Officer of Rudraprayag Nandan Singh Rajwar gave the information.
Let us tell you that heavy rains are continuing in different districts of Uttarakhand, due to which there is loss of life and property. Badrinath Highway was closed at many places due to heavy rains in Chamoli district. The highway has been closed in Kanchan Ganga, Gulabkoti, Pagalnala and Chinka. Chardham pilgrims are stranded at all these places. Road opening operation is going on war footing. While in Tihri, 15 rural roads have been closed due to rain. Debris and stones have fallen near Tindhara on the Rishikesh-Badrinath highway.
