At present, due to the Monsoon trough near Bikaner, Rajasthan, normal rain is forecast in Gujarat.

According to Weather Scientist Ramashray Yadav, Weather Department, Ahmedabad, light to moderate rain is forecast in all the districts of Gujarat in the next seven days. Thunderstorm warning has been issued in all districts of Gujarat today. Fishermen have been warned not to ply the sea for the next two days. Coastal wind speed will be 35 to 40 kmph.

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, 582 mm of rain has been recorded since June 1 till today. Gujarat has received nine percent more than normal rainfall. While central, north and south Gujarat have received 3 percent less rain. While Saurashtra and Kutch have received 25 percent more rain than normal.

According to the weatherman, Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar will receive light to moderate rain with thundershowers today. Along with this, he also informed that a monsoon trough had formed near Bikaner due to which Gujarat is receiving light to normal rains.

According to the information provided by the Meteorological Department, rain has been reported in 82 talukas in 6 hours from 6 am to 12 pm today. In which two inches of rain has been recorded in Umarpada and Navsari of Surat. Mahuwa in Saurashtra, Vasanda, Palsana, Dediapada, Valod, Dolwan, Jalalpore in South Gujarat have received more than an inch of rain.
