The incident took place on Tuesday night in Mubarakpur village of Harnaut police station area. The young man’s name is Mukesh Kumar. The girl is also from the same village.

Mukesh said that his love affair with a girl from the village had been going on for the last one year. The two took an oath to live and die together. When the girl’s family found out about their love affair, they forcibly arranged the marriage elsewhere.

It was his girlfriend who told her boyfriend that when the wedding started, he would come on stage while wearing the garland and fill his demand with vermilion. The youth did the same but people laundered him for this act.

The condition of the youth is serious, both parties complain

The injured youth was treated at Sadar Hospital. Her condition here is delicate. Devanand Sharma, SHO, Harnaut, said the youth had tried to fill in the gaps in the bride’s demand during the wedding ceremony. In which the young man was badly beaten. Complaints have been made from both sides. Police have launched an investigation.
