India got its third medal on Thursday, 1st August. Swapnil Kusale won the bronze by finishing third in the shooting final match of Men’s 3 Positions Rifle event at 1 pm.
India has got another big success in table tennis. Sreeja Akula has entered the pre-quarterfinals and is the second Indian player to reach there.
In badminton, PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen won their respective matches and made it to the pre-quarterfinals. PV defeated Kristin 21-5, 21-10 in 34 minutes, while Lakshya Sen defeated Jonathan Christie 21-18 and 21-12.
Apart from this, in badminton, star HS Prannoy performed brilliantly and won the round of 32 match.
Tokyo Olympics-2020 bronze medal winner female boxer Lovlina Borgohain won the round of 16 match of 75 kg. In this match, Lovlina defeated Sunniva Hofstedt of Norway 5-0 and made it to the quarter-finals.
