Mumbai News Live Updates: Rainfall set to ease over the week, IMD predicts moderate showers for today
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for moderate rainfall across the city and suburbs, with potential heavy showers in isolated areas by Monday evening or night. On Sunday afternoon, IMD announced that rainfall is expected to decrease over the week. The weather forecast predicts temperatures will range from a high of 30 degrees Celsius to a low of approximately 26 degrees Celsius.
An orange alert has been issued for Raigad district on Monday. However, no other alerts are in effect for the period from July 29 (Monday) to July 31 (Wednesday).
In other news, a day after the body of a 20-year-old woman, Yashashri Shinde, was found dumped in the bushes at Uran in Navi Mumbai, local residents in the area observed a bandh in protest. They also marched to the Uran police station in protest against the suspected accused in the case not being arrested as yet. The police have formed three teams that have fanned out across the country to track him.
