ANI, New Delhi. The Indian government has completely rejected China’s attempt to change the name of 30 places in Arunachal Pradesh. The Ministry of External Affairs on Thursday said that the effort to change the name cannot deny that Arunachal Pradesh is and will remain an integral and inseparable part of India.

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, “We have repeatedly talked about this issue. We have given some statements in the last few weeks. We have reiterated our statement… Do not change the reality by taking some names. This is the reality.” Arunachal Pradesh is an integral, inseparable part of India and it will remain so.”

Let us tell you that along with presenting its claim on Arunachal Pradesh, China had released the fourth list of 30 new names of various places in the Indian state. After which India said that this state is an integral part of the country and keeping this imaginary name will not change this reality.

On March 23, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar had rejected China’s repeated claims on Arunachal Pradesh as ridiculous. The Foreign Minister had said that this border state is a natural part of India. Apart from this, China has also clashed with America on this issue.

After this, on April 2, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar gave a befitting reply to China’s renaming of 30 places in Arunachal Pradesh. He said that Arunachal Pradesh was, is and will remain an Indian state in future also. Jaishankar said that nothing will be achieved by changing the name. If I change the name of your house, will it become mine?

He had further said, “If I change the name of your house today, will it become mine? Arunachal Pradesh was, is and will remain a state of India. Nothing happens by changing the name nor does it have any effect.” You all know that our army is deployed there (on LAC). The army people know what they have to do there.”
