Digitalization of investigation process necessary
The Chief Justice said that to get rid of delays in legal matters, it is necessary to digitize the investigation process. This can start with digitalization of FIR filing process. He said that keeping in mind the high number of cases, technology should be used so that delays in work are reduced. He said that the world of crime has changed due to technology and the investigating agencies are facing very complex challenges.

He said that the judges complain that the best among them is appointed to the CBI court. Because they are sensitive. But due to slow hearing, the rate of disposal of cases also slows down. To make radical changes in the system, we need new technologically advanced equipment.

He has said that in fact crime is increasing very fast. In such a situation, investigating agencies should strengthen their capabilities and use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to solve the case. A lot has changed with AI. This is creating difficult challenges for the agency.

He said that our world is linked to the expansion of digital technology. From cyber crimes to digital fraud and the ever-increasing use of technology for illicit purposes, investigative agencies like the CBI are facing new and complex challenges which are vital to solve. The CJI described AI as a gamechanger in the criminal justice revolution, but he also talked about the potential misuse of this technology.
