Akhilesh again changed his candidate in Meerut, cut the ticket of Atul Pradhan and played a bet on Sunita Verma.

On Meerut-Hapur Lok Sabha seat, SP had earlier canceled the ticket of advocate Bhanu Pratap Singh and made Atul Pradhan its candidate. Atul also filed his nomination on Wednesday. Now Akhilesh has changed the candidate once again. Now former mayor Sunita Verma will be a candidate from Meerut-Hapur Lok Sabha seat. Atul Pradhan says that the decision taken by the National President is acceptable.

Jagran correspondent, Meerut. In Samajwadi Party, like Moradabad and Baghpat, the candidate from Meerut-Hapur Lok Sabha seat has been changed for the second time. Now Sunita Verma has been given the ticket. On the other hand, Atul Pradhan said that he accepts the decision of party national president Akhilesh Yadav. He has termed the discussions related to his resignation as rumours.

Bhanu Pratap’s name was announced as the candidate for Meerut Hapur Lok Sabha seat 2 weeks ago. Party officials protested, calling Bhanu Pratap an outsider. Some even tendered their resignation. Later this leader went to Lucknow and presented his side before National President Akhilesh Yadav.

Discussion of changing candidates as soon as Atul files nomination
Bhanu Pratap’s ticket was canceled 2 days ago and Atul Pradhan was allotted the symbol. Atul Pradhan filed his nomination papers on Wednesday. As soon as the nomination papers were filed, discussion started on social media about changing the SP candidates, Atul Pradhan reached Lucknow.

Atul Pradhan called the discussion of resignation a rumor
After brainstorming, Atul Pradhan’s ticket was cut and Sunita Verma, wife of former mayor and former MLA Yogesh Verma, was declared the candidate.
