Karnataka: 200 units of free electricity will be available in Karnataka from July 1, CM told when the remaining guarantees will be implemented

Karnataka The second cabinet meeting of the Siddaramaiah government took place in Karnataka today. After the meeting, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah also held a press conference and said that the five guarantees announced by Congress at the time of elections will be implemented in this financial year.

Siddaramaiah announced after the meeting that the guarantee of 200 units of free electricity would start from July 1. However, he said that the consumers who have not paid the bill till July will have to pay.

When will the remaining 4 guarantees be applicable?
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that under the Griha Lakshmi Yojana, monthly assistance of Rs 2,000 to the female head of the household would start from August 15.
Under ‘Anna Bhagya’, BPL families, Antyodaya card holders will be given 10 kg of food grains free of cost from July 1.
The CM said that under the ‘Shakti’ scheme, from June 1, women will be able to travel free of cost in AC, luxury buses and public transport buses in Karnataka.
Under the Yuva Nidhi scheme, the government will soon give Rs 3,000 to unemployed graduates and Rs 1,500 to unemployed diploma holders who passed out in 2022-23 for 24 months.
